Learn through play
Hands-on experiences, stories and open questions make space for curiosity and discovery.
I am Ximena, a teacher working with children from early childhood through the first years of elementary school. I create opportunities for children ages 3 to 8 to explore, communicate and learn through play.
Hands-on experiences, stories and open questions make space for curiosity and discovery.
Visual routines and gentle conversations help children express feelings and find their own way to participate.
I enjoy making bilingual cards, printables and simple materials that invite children to imagine and create.
Songs, movement and everyday encounters with nature offer many ways to notice, connect and learn.
This space brings together the things I enjoy creating for my students: visual materials, stories, songs and little invitations to discover something new. I like to begin with a question, a picture or an everyday object, and leave room for children to contribute their own ideas.
Teaching across early childhood and elementary school means noticing different rhythms. A movement break, a visual cue or a quiet moment can open another way to take part. I design these resources as starting points that families and educators can adapt to their own groups.
Ximena Happiness is also a creative notebook. Here I collect classroom inspiration, share materials in English and Spanish, and celebrate the small moments that make learning meaningful.
